Words to Live by

Grandpa's and Grandma's Words of Inuit Law

1. Food does not have any owner, share it.

2. Share your catch with others, take food to people who are not able to hunt and share with the Elders.

3. If someone indicates they made the kill of any wildlife, even though you know you caught it, do not argue about it and just give the animal to the person who say they caught it. Wildlife does not have any owner.

4. Always listen to your Mother.

5. Try to know the land and the wind, don't just travel in clear and calm weather only. You will eventually run into a storm so try to know what to do in those conditions.

6. A woman is weaker then you, never strike a woman.

7. Try to know the ice conditions, never try to travel in conditions that will put you in danger, live to hunt another day.

8. Help others when you can.

Thousand Words

Thousand Words

The Old saying goes " A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words "

How one starts to say a bit of those thousand words, through  taking pictures,

is a  challenge that one must face when  aiming the camera for all to see.

Going back to the saying of ," A picture is worth a  thousand words ".

I am Honored that for each picture I take; I do not have to  worry myself,

the added strain of hoping to capture that picture, which will say a thousand words,

As  the  subject I take a picture of, speaks for itself, a thousand words.
